Succinct Joins C2PA to Advance Content Authenticity Standards

Succinct is pleased to announce that we have joined the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), alongside organizations such as Google, OpenAI and other global technology leaders. C2PA’s mission is to establish open technical standards that enable transparent, trustworthy digital contents across the internet.

As the volume of AI-generated content continues to scale, verifiable authenticity has become an essential requirement for enterprises, creators, and platforms. Succinct’s zero-knowledge (ZK) verification technology adds a complementary layer of trust and security to the C2PA system.

Why C2PA

C2PA provides an unified technical standard for:

  • Attaching secure provenance metadata to digital content
  • Verifying the origin, edits, and distribution path of media
  • Ensuring a consistent trust framework across devices, software, and platforms

The standard-driven approach improves transparency while maintaining compatibility across modern content workflows. It is widely adopted by leading technology companies, publishers, and hardware manufacturers working together to improve trust and safety across the internet.

Succinct’s Role

Succinct delivers ZK-powered verifiable compute to support the next generation of content authenticity. Our infrastructure enables:

  • Cryptographic verification  of content provenance without revealing sensitive data
  • Scalable attestation suitable for enterprise and high-volume platform
  • Interoperability across blockchains, storage systems, and identity layers

As the line between human- and AI-generated content blurs, by integrating ZK verification capabilities into existing provenance workflows, Succinct contributes additional security guarantees to the broader C2PA mission.

Together, we are unlocking an entirely new world of verifiable media. Creators can embed verifiable rights and attribution directly into their work, enabling enforcement, licensing and royalties without intermediaries. Insurers can validate photos or videos tied to claims. Governments and institutions can verify the authenticity of critical evidence or communications. Platforms can automatically distinguish real content from deepfakes. And consumers can know not just what they’re seeing, but how it came to be. This is the beginning of a provable media ecosystem where trust is built into the content itself.

Looking Ahead

Joining C2PA marks an expansion of Succinct’s commitment to building trustworthy digital ecosystem. We look forward to collaborating with the community, contributing technical research, and supporting real-world deployments of content authenticity standards.

Succinct will share further updates as this initiative develops.
