Succinct in 2025: Delivering Our Promise to Scale Ethereum

In 2025, Succinct’s biggest milestones included real-time proving Ethereum, bringing ZK proofs to major rollup stacks like Optimism, Arbitrum, and Polygon, launching the Prover Network and $PROVE, and scaling Ethereum with new ecosystem partners.

Succinct in 2025: Delivering Our Promise to Scale Ethereum

This year, Succinct laid out an ambitious roadmap to scale Ethereum with ZK. And we delivered.

This was the year of proofs over promises.

The industry believed ZK was too slow, too expensive, and too complex to power real systems. Generating proofs for any arbitrary program was a moonshot, but we made ZK cheap, fast, and easy for developers.

With the foundation in place, SP1, Prover Network, and PROVE, the market responded to our breakthroughs. This year, Succinct affirmed itself as the clear leader in critical Ethereum infrastructure, securing billions in TVL for dozens of leading protocols across the ecosystem.

We want to highlight our accomplishments from 2025 as we prepare for an even bigger year ahead.

Scaling Ethereum’s Base Layer

In 2025, Succinct became critical infrastructure for Ethereum.

In May, we made history as the first team to prove Ethereum in real time, aligning with the Ethereum Foundation’s roadmap to scale the base layer with zero-knowledge proofs. Using SP1 Hypercube, we proved 93% of Ethereum blocks in under 12 seconds across 200 GPUs.

But that was only the beginning.A few short months later, we pushed the frontier once again, becoming the first team to prove 99.7% of Ethereum blocks in under 12 seconds, this time using only 16 GPUs.

SP1 Hypercube will hit mainnet soon. When it does, it will secure billions of dollars in value as blue-chip protocols begin upgrading to Hypercube for proving.

Scaling the Rollup-Centric Roadmap

In 2025, Succinct became the gold standard for modernizing ZK rollups.

Succinct is scaling Ethereum on multiple fronts. SP1 has become critical infrastructure for Ethereum’s L2 ecosystem. As a result, it has become the default proving system for major rollup stacks adopting ZK.

The OP Stack

Our flagship proving solution for OP Stack rollups, OP Succinct, enables full ZK validity proofs, turning rollups into Type-1 zkEVMs. This year, we released a “Lite” version of OP Succinct that unlocks ZK fraud proofs for teams that are not ready for full ZK. Both products are used in production by several teams modernizing to ZK rollups, including Mantle, the largest ZK rollup with $2B in TVL, and Celo, a leading Ethereum L2 focused on payments.

The Arbitrum Stack

Earlier this year, Succinct entered an exclusive partnership to bring ZK proving to Arbitrum chains. A few months ago, we hit a major milestone with the Offchain Labs team, proving EVM and Stylus blocks on Arbitrum. Today, the Arbitrum ecosystem has expanded to over 40 chains live on mainnet with blue-chip teams like Robinhood preparing to launch. Our plug-and-play approach makes it easy for any Arbitrum chain to modernize to ZK with minimal effort.

Polygon CDK

This year, Polygon CDK added support for OP Stack, allowing teams to deploy OP Stack chains connected to Agglayer. Succinct partnered with Polygon to bring ZK Proofs to their OP Stack CDK chains for fast finality and trustless interop across the Agglayer. Katana, the Agglayer’s unified liquidity hub, was the first Polygon CDK chain to run OP Succinct, using SP1 to generate ZK proofs.

Privacy Returns to Ethereum

This year, the entire industry recalibrated around our core values. Advancements in privacy tech, along with a rising demand for financial confidentiality, collided to bring privacy back into the mainstream discourse.

We introduced private proving as a new primitive for builders. SP1 proofs can now be generated inside a TEE, combining the power of the Succinct Prover Network with privacy guarantees.

Private proving opens up a whole new host of potential applications:

  • Private DEXs: Audit every order, trade, and settlement without exposing positions.
  • Private Stablecoins: Proving transfers occurred without revealing balances, amounts, or sender details.
  • Private Identity: Authenticate credentials without leaking the human behind them.
  • Confidential Compute: Run computation on sensitive data without exposing raw inputs to anyone

Privacy is no longer a specialist’s burden. Any developer can build privacy-first applications in weeks. Succinct’s private proving delivers Ethereum’s promise where privacy is a core primitive.

Helping Teams Scale on Ethereum

Products and performance are not enough to scale Ethereum. This year, we accelerated adoption for Succinct’s products with 12 new partnerships.

Each partnership reaffirmed our commitment to providing builders with the core infrastructure they need to easily integrate ZK into their products with just a few lines of code.

Scaling Proof Generation with the Prover Network

2025 also saw the culmination of years of work with the launch of Succinct’s Prover Network, a decentralized, onchain proving marketplace that matches requests for proofs with high-performance provers to optimize cost, speed, and availability. By abstracting proof generation into a scalable service layer, Succinct enables applications, rollups, bridges, and modular infrastructure to scale proof generation without managing their own compute resources.

With over 6M proofs generated in 2025 from blue-chip teams across crypto, Succinct is defining the standards and infrastructure that will power a generation of provable systems. And 2026 will take proving beyond blockchain, to governments, financial institutions, and Fortune 500s. Activity on the Prover Network will continue to accelerate, resulting in efficient markets for fast, cheap, and reliable proofs.

The PROVE Token

The PROVE token sits at the center of the Prover Network.

Demand for proofs from L2s, Ethereum mainnet, verifiable applications, and enterprises adopting ZK can flow through the Succinct Prover Network. In turn, that demand for proofs will drive economic activity around PROVE, the medium of exchange for the Succinct Prover Network.

The flywheel is clear:

  • Applications pay for proofs in PROVE, creating demand
  • The network charges marketplace fees in PROVE
  • Staking PROVE provides security and allows holders to earn from prover revenue

To bootstrap the Prover Network, this year, the Succinct Foundation allocated 22,000,000 PROVE tokens for an airdrop to 24,000 eligible community members. Over 16M PROVE tokens have been staked across 25 different provers.

As proving evolves into critical infrastructure, PROVE underpins how proof generation is coordinated, priced, and accounted for within the network.

The Road Ahead in 2026

2025 was about delivering on our promises. We set out to scale Ethereum with the most advanced ZK proof system on the market. And we did. From proving Ethereum in real time to fully functional products, ecosystem integrations, and the launch of our decentralized prover network, Succinct led from the front.

While ZK has already gained adoption in blockchain scaling and validity proofs, its potential extends far beyond crypto. What makes ZK so revolutionary is that it solves a seemingly impossible problem: proving computation happened correctly without revealing the underlying data. Imagine verifying someone's age without seeing their birthdate, or confirming regulatory compliance without exposing trade secrets. From identity verification to auditing, ZK enables a new digital paradigm where "don't trust, verify" is the operational standard.

Our plans for 2026 are to bring ZK beyond crypto. The Succinct thesis is that ZK will move from niche cryptographic theory to essential infrastructure powering the next generation of blockchain, enterprise, institutional, and government technology.

At the center of this revolution stands Succinct.

In 2025, we proved Ethereum.

In 2026, we’ll prove… well, you’ll just have to wait and see.
