Conduit Launches OP Succinct: A Giant Leap for ZK

We’ve partnered with Conduit, a leading rollup platform, to support easy deployment of OP Succinct rollups. OP Succinct is a best of all worlds ZK rollup. It combines the innovation of SP1, our general-purpose zkVM, with the OP stack to create a fast, affordable, and highly customizable zkEVM. This is the first ZK rollup stack that Conduit supports and the only offering that has fast finality of 1 hour instead of 7 days.

OP Succinct makes ZK Rollups Magical

With the OP Succinct offering on Conduit, teams can experience the best of all worlds with no compromise:

  • Fast finality: OP Succinct rollups have fast finality of 1 hour. This means users can withdraw funds quickly instead of having to wait 7 days–a game changer for protocols that want customers to feel comfortable depositing significant TVL. 
  • Full EVM equivalence: OP Succinct rollups are 100% EVM equivalent, including full bytecode compatibility and uses the same keccak-based Merkle Patricia Trie (MPT) state root as Ethereum. All tooling and smart contracts that work with OP Stack rollups work with OP Succinct. Unlike other ZK rollup stacks, OP Succinct offers a developer experience that is equivalent to Ethereum, with no tradeoffs.
  • No out of pocket proving costs for teams: We’re working with the OP labs team to add a “prover fee” that enables users to pay for their proportion of proving costs as part of their transaction fee (similar to L1 DA fees in OP Stack today). This means rollup teams have no additional out of pocket costs for OP Succinct rollups.

The OP Succinct proposer calls to Succinct’s prover network for proof generation, meaning ZKP generation is cheap and reliable.
