Succinct Powers ZK on Flagship Katana Network

Katana is a new DeFi-first L2 that is built for real yield and deep liquidity. With Succinct’s validity proofs at its core, Katana will achieve fast finality, strong security, and seamless interop with the Agglayer. ZK is going mainstream.
When we launched OP Succinct in September, we gave every OP Stack rollup the ability to become a ZK rollup. While our out-of-the-box integration works for most OP Stack rollups, the real power of OP Succinct lies in its flexibility. Teams can tailor our open-source solution to their specific needs, while relying on the Succinct Prover Network for fast and affordable proving.
Polygon took this vision to the next level. As part of their push to make the Agglayer infrastructure-agnostic, they built CDK OP Stack, a version of OP Succinct with native Agglayer connectivity. This became the heart of Katana’s proof system, unlocking:
- Fast finality secured by validity proofs. With Succinct’s technology, Katana will slash finality times from seven days to under an hour. This will improve key UX like withdrawals by 100X and supercharge interop with other Agglayer chains.
- Cost-effective proving. With the Succinct Prover Network, proving costs can be as low as $0.005 per transaction (and dropping). Katana users will experience the benefits of ZK without disruptive fees.
Katana shows that ZK is a key differentiator for both individual rollups and entire blockchain ecosystems.

Katana is a New Home for Onchain Finance, Built with ZK
As a flagship DeFi chain incubated by Polygon Labs and GSR, Katana benefits from the latest advancements in L2 design. One of its standout features is a native integration with the Agglayer, which will give users access to shared liquidity from all Agglayer-connected chains. This will lay the foundation for a thriving community of traders, LPs, and applications.
ZK makes this possible. Katana will use Succinct’s validity proofs to deliver lightning-fast finality and trustless interop across the Agglayer. This will be a major leap in cross-chain composability and UX: withdrawals are secure and nearly instant — a sharp contrast to the seven-day delays of other L2s.
Succinct and Polygon are collaborating at a pivotal moment in Ethereum’s scaling journey. With the Pectra upgrade unlocking more blobspace, competition between L2s is intensifying. As the first CDK OP Stack chain, Katana is a proof point for Polygon’s vision of an Agglayer that connects fragmented liquidity across every ecosystem.
Katana will also set new standards for the OP Stack. By making validity proofs a first-class primitive, Succinct and Polygon will show what’s possible in a ZK-enabled world. This will pave the way to a unified Web3 with less friction, stronger security, and better UX for all.
